Courses in the Interdisciplinary:

IC JS373 … Person and Community.  A critical examination of modern social and behavioral theorists, with particular emphasis on their methodological approaches.  This course focuses on the founders of modern sociological and psychological theory but also includes contemporary thinkers.  Texts for this course address both intrapersonal and interpersonal dynamics, exploring the nature of the person in himself and in his relation to others.

IC 1191 … Student Seminar. This course is a required, bi-weekly, student-led discussion of selected texts.  The subject matter changes each semester.

IC 1391 … Roman Civilization.  Study of the cultural and political history of Rome from the earliest times to the fall of the western Roman Empire in the fifth century A.D. Topics include Republican and Imperial Roman civic life, religion, mythology, art, and architecture

IC 2392 Greek Civilization. Study of the cultural and political history of Greece from the earliest times until the death of Alexander the Great (323 B.C.). The scope of study begins with the roots of Greek culture in Minoan civilization, progresses through Mycenean culture at the time of the Trojan War, and culminates with the Golden Age of fifth-century Athens.

Music Tutorial.  This course is a tutorial of the fine arts geared to Sophomore College students.
Other Fine Art Tutorials the College plans to introduce over the next few years as needed faculty are available are:
• Fundamentals of Music/Choir
• Fundamental of Drawing
• Tutorial in Western Art and Architecture

Writing Tutorial.  It is the policy of the College that all incoming freshmen will be required to complete a non-credit Writing Tutorial during their entering semester. At the discretion of the instructor, students may be required to complete an additional semester.
